About Me
I’m an experienced and versatile visual professional – I do concepts, visuals, UI, UX, prototyping, accessibility and more. I am inspired by transforming complexity into clarity and ideas into meaningful experiences. My strong visual background is reflected in my work through refined details and harmonious wholes. I want to solve real user challenges and make things simple and functional. I design user interfaces that are intuitive, beautiful, and purposeful. My work combines creativity, analytical thinking, and an interest in sustainable development and resource efficiency, so that every solution serves both the user and the business.
For the past six years, I have worked as a designer in a start-up-style, international and agile product development team. We have developed B2B, B2C and SaaS products. As a UI/UX Designer, my work involves ideating features, creating concepts, wireframes, prototypes, and final designs paying close attention to usability and accessibility. I translate ideas to solution concepts and iterate ideas and designs in flexible way.
In daily collaboration with product owners, users and developers, I gather information and involve them in the design of features, usability and technical aspects. I present concepts and designs to both customers and developers. Sometimes I also assist developers by coding html and css. Together we focus on finding the best possible solutions within the limits of resources and goals. I have designed software for Stora Enso, Finferries, Ammattiliitto Pro, Kiilto, Oiva isännöinti, CableCrew and others.
My way to UX
I have working history in 3D-modelling, graphics design and video productions. I entered to the world of UX from UI and Visual Design side, and I’m learning more every day. I started in my current workplace as a Visual Designer creating concept design, graphic design and learning to do UIs.
I always want to create the best possible result, both visually and in terms of usability. This mentality drives me to develop as a professional. And that’s how I started studying UX. As my current working environment does not really enable me to do proper user research, I keep studying and doing interviews to understand our customers as best I can. Hopefully I’ll find my place in more mature UX environment at some point.
Outside of work
My path into UX is rooted not only in visual design but also in environmental science. Although I have worked mostly in digital design, I trained as an environmental manager and resource efficiency expert, and sustainability has remained a personal and professional compass ever since.
To deepen the connection between design and sustainability, I recently completed Design Forum Finland’s Circular Design for Business course. It expanded my understanding of circular business models, EU regulatory frameworks, sustainable materials, and how environmental thinking can be integrated into digital products as well, from service concepts to user experience and long-term product strategy.
I’m increasingly interested in how designers can influence responsible choices, reduce waste and create more sustainable digital services. My long-term goal is to work in an environment where UX, business and sustainability meet in a mature and meaningful way.
I like to challenge myself in the things I do and that reflects to my hobbies also. I spend my free time climbing, riding motorbikes and exploring nature in various ways. In everyday life, my hobbies help me stay fit, and during holidays, they provide exciting adventures. Occasionally, I find myself in challenging situations, but I rely on my skills and resourcefulness to navigate through them.
